Library Services
Checking out materials:
Loan periods: 2 weeks with possible 2 week renewal provided item has no holds. Return items to return cart in front of the library. Videos and DVDs will be checked out to faculty only. Lost items (items missing for 1 month or more) must be replaced. Students must pay the replacement cost before library privileges resume.
Group Study Rooms:
Students may reserve a study room for group study or special projects. These rooms are only for groups of 2-4 students and must be reserved ahead of time.
Services:
Copying: One coin operated Kyocera black and white copier. Copies are 10¢ a page. This machine will copy double sided, but it does not staple.
Black and White Printing: Two laser printers are available for students. Computer print-outs are 10¢ a page. The first five pages are free and students are asked to pay for any additional copies according to the honor system. To save on printing costs, consider emailing information to yourself or saving to Edline using your file locker.
Color Printing: One Color Printer is available for staff. Students may request small projects to be printed in color for a fee.
Scanning: The library has one flatbed 8 ½” x 14” flatbed scanner. Students must make prior arrangements to for scanning.
CD/DVD Players and Burners: All library computers are equipped with CD/DVD-R-RW players and burners.
Presentation Carts: Four presentation carts furnished with laptops equipped with Microsoft Office, speakers, LCD projectors, and VHS and DVD Combo players are available for faculty sign out in the library. Carts must be scheduled in advance. Students are responsible for testing the compatibility of their presentation formats with our equipment ahead of time.
Instruction: Classroom instruction for locating materials, developing research strategies and evaluating resources is scheduled for various classes and also available upon teacher request.
Appointments: Students may schedule personal appointments with Mrs. Phillips or Mrs. Hayes for research, computer applications, presentations or any other special projects.
