Admissions Process
Because Northwest Catholic is a college-prep high school, admission is based upon a student's academic potential, past academic performance, results of our Entrance Exam, and acceptable standards of behavior.
Applicants to grade nine should click here to submit an application and a $25 application fee. Applicants must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). This test is also given at other Catholic high schools in the area; however, only incoming 9th-grade students who take the December exam at NWC will be considered for academic scholarships.
Northwest Catholic also requires middle school transcripts, which will be submitted from the student's current school. Click here for the necessary Records Release form. In some cases, an interview may also be required before an admissions decision will be made.
Transfer applicants to grade 10 should click here to submit an application and $30 application fee. These students must also take the HSPT and submit transcripts from their current school. In addition, each applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from a guidance counselor or school administrator that addresses the student's character and discipline record.
Transfer applicants to grade 11 should click here to submit an application and $30 fee. All upperclass transfer applicants must also submit an official transcript and schedule a personal interview, once the rest of the supporting documents have been submitted. To set up the interview, please e-mail Mrs. Cindy Fusco, Associate Director of Admissions for Enrollment Management, or call her at 860.236.4221, x161.
