Library Mission Statement

The NWC Library is dedicated to providing the school community with the best possible resources and services that support the curriculum, promote the programs, and further the mission of our school. It is our mission to foster the love of reading and to teach students how to effectively find and use information so that they may acquire knowledge. Ultimately, it is our goal to challenge students to use this knowledge wisely in service to God and others.  

Library Hours

Hours: M-Thurs., 7:30am–4pm; Friday, 7:30am–3pm
Before school: Walk in quietly (No sign up required)
During school: (Sign in and sign out required between 8am and 2:07pm)
After school: Walk in quietly (No sign up required)

Library Staff
The NWC Library and Media Center is staffed with two professional librarians, one full time and one part time. They welcome the opportunity to serve students, faculty, staff, and parents.
  
Helga Phillips, Director of Library and Media Services, has been at NWC since 2002. She holds a Master's of Library Science degree and also has many years of experience working as a reference librarian in a public library.

Sandra Murray Hayes '85, Library Media Specialist, has been at NWC since 2006. She holds a Master's of Library Science degree and a K-12 certification in School Library Media. She also holds a Master's of Educational Computing degree.
