12th ANNUAL JOSEPH F. REILLY GOLF TOURNAMENT: September 23, 2017
Joe Reilly was an iconic basketball/baseball coach and teacher at South Catholic High School who impacted the lives of many students and athletes throughout Greater Hartford during his Hall of Fame career. His values and efforts reflect the true ideals of South Catholic. This tournament is a tribute to his life and an ongoing commitment to Catholic Secondary Education in his spirit.
Proceeds of the tournament are directed toward named scholarships for qualified Northwest Catholic and East Catholic High School seniors. The tournament is on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Indian Hill Country Club, 131 Golf St., Newington, CT. Registration starts @ 12:30 pm. Shotgun start begins at 1:30. Cost is $125.00 per person and includes 18 holes (scramble format), cart, buffet dinner (Francesco’s on Franklin Ave., Hartford), a raffle and prizes. Sponsorship opportunities are available at the following levels:
- Platinum Sponsor - $1,000 and above (4 golfers and sign on the course)
- Gold Sponsor - $500 (2 golfers and sign on the course)
- Silver Sponsor - $250
- Tee Sponsor - $100

DAY OF CARING AND SHARING : November 24, 2017
Exclusively for the South Catholic community and you won’t want to miss it!
Please join us for a one-of-a-kind-event that may never happen again! From 6:00 -9:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at Northwest Catholic High School, former teachers and staff from South Catholic High School will gather together on a panel to share funny anecdotes, memorable moments, and fond memories of their days at South. The panel will be moderated by former SCHS teacher Ed Hackett and will include audience participation. Also featured will be a wine and cheese social, a teacup raffle and a chance to buy or order South Catholic gear (shirts, sweats, hats, etc.). There is no charge for this fun evening, but a free will offering to the South Catholic Scholarship Fund will be gratefully accepted. Registration is required. South Catholic High School Scholarship established at NWC
The establishment of the South Catholic High School Scholarship at Northwest Catholic High School was announced in November, 2015.
This scholarship honors the legacy of South Catholic, a school with a storied 30-year history and a vibrant community known for its spirit, performance, and leadership. South Catholic High School graduates have gone on to be leaders in innumerable professions and have positively impacted society on the local, national, and international levels.
Opportunities are available for members of the South Catholic community to contribute to this scholarship program. If you feel that South Catholic High played a positive role in your life, and would like to pay it forward by helping today’s young people benefit from a quality Catholic education, please consider a gift to this scholarship. The South Catholic High School Scholarship will be awarded to deserving Northwest Catholic High students with financial need who demonstrate a personal commitment to academic and spiritual growth, reflecting the ideals of South Catholic High School.
