Adam Gooley ’03 Tells Students What it's Like to Work in Corrections

Adam Gooley ’03 Returns to NWC

Northwest Catholic was delighted to welcome “home” Mr. Adam Gooley ’03 as a speaker in its new Alumni LEADS program. During his time at NWC, Adam played football, hockey, and baseball. He went on to Western CT State University where he earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Justice and Law Administration. Today he is a Corrections Officer at the Hartford Correctional Center.

Gooley spoke candidly with the students about the challenges of his job as well as the benefits of his career choice, including opportunities for professional growth within the correctional system. He also shared how his support system of family and friends, including many of his NWC classmates, are what keep him grounded.

Thank you, Adam Gooley, for visiting and sharing your wisdom.
