Colleen Riley '12 Helps Students Understand the World of Pharmacy

Colleen Riley, a 2012 graduate of Northwest Catholic, returned to her alma mater this week as the first Alumni LEADS Speaker of 2019.

Riley of Bloomfield is currently a pharmacist at CVS in Cromwell. She spoke to seniors at the West Hartford high school on January 10 to share stories of her experiences at NWC, her road to Duquesne University’s School of Pharmacy, and why students  should step out of their comfort zones and take risks until they find their place.

Riley also discussed the challenges of pharmacy work, the opioid crisis, and why she likes working one-on-one with patients to improve their health.
