Northwest Catholic High School seeks an energetic, confident, adaptive, and faith-filled individual to join our enrollment team as an Advancement Associate. 

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Advancement Associate is an integral member of the Northwest Catholic development team, responsible for the overall success of the annual giving and alumni relations programs.  The Associate administers all aspects of annual giving, including direct mail, e-solicitation, phone calls, day of giving, and personal solicitations; maintaining and reporting on annual giving metrics; assisting with planning and execution of special events; and ensuring timely donor recognition and stewardship. 

Often a primary contact with donors and alumni, the Advancement Associate must be an attentive relationship builder, maintaining ongoing communication with prospective donors and constituents through multiple means of contact.  In the course of regular donor cultivation, the Associate will identify major annual gift prospects and help build the pipeline of leadership donors.  This position calls for a detailed orientated and collaborative individual who is willing to multi-task and join a mission-driven school community.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Promote the integration of the school’s Catholic mission in all areas of school life and in public engagement.  

  • Plan, execute, and track the annual strategy for The Fund for Northwest Catholic. This includes a calendar of solicitations, collateral design, direct and indirect donor solicitation, and donor acknowledgement. 

  • Execute specific annual giving events such as Giving Tuesday and Northwest Catholic Day of Giving. 

  • Steward a portfolio of donors up to the $5,000 level as part of the annual fund.  

  • Have accountability for growth in the annual fund, both in terms of number of constituents engaged and in realized donations. 

  • Analyze donor and alumni data to inform solicitation and communication strategies. 

  • Actively maintain the alumni relations section of the school website and on social media.  

  • Adeptly use multiple software solutions to compile and maintain accurate and relevant constituent relationships and donation methods (programs include wealth screening, matching donations, and online auction software). 

  • Effectively co-manage the advancement database (The Raiser’s Edge) to maximize gift solicitation levels and giving records. 

  • Identify prospective major donors for follow-up with the Director and President 

  • Actively participate in the organizing and planning of fundraising and engagement events including regional receptions, grandparents’ day, the annual golf tournament, and spring gala. 

  • Coordinate alumni reunions with class representatives. 

  • The position requires attendance at evening or weekend events as needed, as well as travel to regional alumni receptions. 

  • Other responsibilities as assigned. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • A demonstrated enthusiasm for Catholic education. 

  • A practiced understanding of direct customer relations building required.  Donor and alumni engagement and fundraising experience in an educational setting preferred. 

  • A team approach that enables colleagues to cultivate strong community ties and networks among current and prospective donors. 

  • Experience in working with adult volunteers and stakeholders, as it relates to parent and alumni committees. 

  • Experience in developing and executing various communications including digital media. 

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing, public relations, or a related field. 

This is a (12) month, full-time salaried position. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
