Objective

The overall purpose of the World Language Department is to expose students to other cultures through the study of the language and to prepare them to communicate in at least one language other than English. Most colleges require a minimum of two years of language study and prefer that one language is carried out for three or four years if the student has the ability to do so. Three years of one world language is preferred over two years of two world languages. The recommended grade to move to the next level is C-.
