Objective

The Science Department curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, scientific methodology, and a study of the natural world with subsequent application. Students will notice the world around them and learn problem-solving skills to help them navigate the world of science. The laboratory experience is a vital part of our science curriculum. Laboratory exercises expose the students to a variety of experiments and technology that are designed to complement classroom learning.

Most colleges require at least three years of science. Many appreciate or strongly recommend a four-year program including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, especially for those seeking to major in the sciences. In addition, ECE Biology, Advanced Placement Physics, and Advanced Placement Chemistry are offered to further enhance student understanding of these topics.

Required Courses: 3 years of Science including state required Biology and a physical science
