Erin Neagle, a 2008 graduate of Northwest Catholic, recently returned to the school as a guest speaker in the new Alumni LEADS program to discuss her work in hospitality management.
NWC came together Monday morning to pay tribute to Dr. King. To start, President Christian Cashman spoke of King’s commitment to the “beloved community,” urging the audience to help realize King’s dream by making Northwest Catholic a “beloved community” and remembering all the great leader preached.
The Northwest Catholic Robotics Team had a very special visitor this week. Former NASA Astronaut, retired U.S. Coast Guard Captain, and current UTC Senior Technical Fellow visited NWC to talk with the young engineers about space and robotics.
Northwest Catholic's Link Crew sat down with their freshmen this week for a "Cocoa and Cram." The seniors answered questions about the upcoming midterm exams, helping to dial down the worry, roll back the mystery, and motivate the freshmen to study.
Colleen Riley '12 is currently a pharmacist at CVS in Cromwell. She spoke to seniors of her experiences at NWC, her road to Duquesne University’s School of Pharmacy, and why students should step out of their comfort zones and take risks until they find their place. Riley also discussed the challenges of pharmacy work, the opioid crisis, and why she likes working one-on-one with patients to improve their health.
Northwest Catholic High School was recently awarded a $4,000 FIRST Robotics grant from United Technologies as well as a $4000 Argosy Foundation FRC Rookie Grant.
