Mrs. Gillespie is the oldest of 6 children and lived with her family in both Peru and Puerto Rico before settling in Connecticut. She earned her B.A. in Spanish from Dickinson College and an M.A. in Spanish Language and Culture from Boston College. She began her career at Northwest 29 years ago as a Spanish teacher and leader of the liturgical choir. Today she continues to teach Religion and Spanish.

Mrs. Gillsepie has worked in youth ministry and music ministry at several parishes in the Archdiocese and is currently a youth minister at St. Edmund Campion in East Hartford. Mrs. Gillespie’s daughters Sarah, a graduate of the Class of 2013 and Amy, a member of the Class of 2015, are also well known in the NWC community.

Prior to joining NWC, Ms. Fusco worked in the New Business area of insurance and was President of her sons’ preschool. Little did she know that a volunteer position 25 years ago would inspire her to pursue her ultimate position where she is instrumental in preparing students for a successful transition to high school.

Cindy earned a B.S. in Marketing from Fairfield University and was a Board member of ACAAP for three years where she received the Joseph Simonson Award. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and playing tennis.
